Our Maliatko Family Project activities are designed to support children under 5 and their families, helping them grow, learn, and feel a sense of belonging
-
Arts & Crafts
Weekly creative activities such as drawing, painting, and crafting give young children the chance to explore their imagination while developing essential early skills.
Arts and crafts nurture fine motor coordination, patience, and focus, while also offering joyful ways to celebrate special occasions like Mother’s Day, Christmas, summer holidays, or simply the everyday moments of childhood.

-
Singing and Storytime
Songs, rhymes, and reading sessions in Ukrainian help children stay connected to their cultural roots while building important early literacy and language skills.
Through stories and music, children learn to express themselves, expand their vocabulary, and grow in confidence — all while sharing moments of joy with their parents and peers.

-
Play and Activities
From soft play sessions to outdoor activities, children have the space to move, explore, and enjoy the fun of childhood in a safe environment.
These activities are vital for their physical development, emotional well-being, and social interaction with other children — giving families the chance to connect and bond too.

-
Family Support
Beyond activities for children, Maliatko also creates a welcoming space for parents and caregivers.
It’s a chance to share experiences, access information, and build supportive friendships within the community — making family life in a new country feel a little easier and more connected.

Our mission is to support the wellbeing and social inclusion of children under 5 and their families, nurturing early childhood development, strengthening cultural identity, and helping parents feel connected and supported in their new community.
We create a safe and welcoming environment where families can take part in creative activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, and singing. These moments not only support children’s emotional, physical, and social growth but also preserve cultural traditions and strengthen family bonds.
Through play, movement, and shared experiences, children build essential early skills, enjoy childhood in a joyful and safe space, and connect with peers. At the same time, parents and caregivers find friendship, exchange experiences, and access guidance — building trust and stability in their new lives.
Additionally, family gatherings and seasonal celebrations foster a sense of belonging, giving both children and parents the chance to feel valued, express themselves, and create lasting memories together.
