Oksana Kalala
Oksana is an award-winning social entrepreneur with a professional background in the NHS and a long-standing commitment to social activism. Since 2015, she has been actively supporting migrants and refugees, combining frontline public-sector experience with deep, lived understanding of the challenges faced by new arrivals.
Through her work, Oksana identified a critical gap in resettlement support and safeguarding for new arrivals. This insight, alongside a strong desire to address systemic inequalities, led to the founding of New Arrivals Support CIC in 2022.
Since its establishment, NASCIC has grown from a small, local initiative into a nationally recognised social enterprise. Under Oksana’s leadership, the organisation is rooted in lived experience, advocacy, and safeguarding, with a clear mission to prevent inequality, promote integration, and support long-term stability for migrant communities.
