We know what it takes to start over.
New Arrivals Support CIC is run by migrants and refugees, for migrants and refugees. We know what it takes to start over — navigating housing, language barriers, unfamiliar systems, and rebuilding confidence from scratch.
If you believe in communities taking care of each other, see what your contribution makes possible ↓
Right now, we're raising money for two things.
Different journeys.
One shared goal.
Help Martin get back on his feet
We are raising £1,800 to provide Martin with an electric bike and essential accessories, enabling him to take up delivery work and begin earning independently.
To grow Southeast London's first Ukrainian community library
This space is more than a library — it is a place of belonging, where families can reconnect with their culture, children can read in their native language, and the community can come together through books, learning, and shared experiences.
Help Martin rebuild his life through work!
Martin (name changed for confidentiality) is a newly recognised refugee from Afghanistan now living in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Like many people starting over, he faces significant barriers to employment, including language challenges and limited access to opportunities.
We are raising £1,800 to provide Martin with an electric bike and essential accessories, enabling him to take up delivery work and begin earning independently.
Alongside this, New Arrivals Support CIC will provide one-to-one support to help him register as self-employed, access employment platforms, understand his tax responsibilities, and build essential financial literacy — including how to report income and communicate with Jobcentre Plus.
This support will give Martin not just a means to earn, but the knowledge and confidence to sustain his independence long-term.
Help Grow Southeast London’s First Ukrainian Community Library
Imagine arriving in a new country and losing access to your language, stories, and sense of home.
The Heritage Bookshelf is the first Ukrainian community library in South East London, created by New Arrivals Support CIC to support Ukrainian refugees, migrants, and new arrivals in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and beyond.
This space is more than a library — it is a place of belonging, where families can reconnect with their culture, children can read in their native language, and the community can come together through books, learning, and shared experiences.
We have already built a growing collection of Ukrainian books for children, young people, and adults — but the demand continues to rise.
