Dear Ukrainian Community

Dear Ukrainian Community,

As 24 February approaches, we pause to reflect on the four years since our lives shifted so profoundly. It has been a time marked by grief, separation, and uncertainty. Yet equally by courage, compassion and an unbreakable sense of togetherness.

I have had the privilege of witnessing your strength up close.

I have seen mothers creating new beginnings far from home, young people bravely navigating unfamiliar schools, and neighbours supporting one another with kindness and care. Your resilience and hope continue to inspire me deeply.

The journey has not been easy, and many carry invisible scars. Still, our identity remains strong, rooted in culture, sustained by solidarity and guided by the belief in a peaceful and free Ukraine.

At New Arrivals Support CIC, we stand beside you. Through our well-being programmes and community initiatives, we strive to offer support while honouring and safeguarding Ukrainian culture for generations to come.

Together, we are not only enduring - we are growing, supporting one another, and proving the strength of community and shared humanity.

With warmth and solidarity,
Oksana Kalala
