The Journey of New Arrivals Support CIC
At New Arrivals Support CIC (NASCIC), we are dedicated to supporting Ukrainian refugees, displaced people, and migrants as they rebuild their lives in the UK. Founded in 2022 as an emergency response to the full-scale war in Ukraine, our organisation has evolved into a trusted non-profit that provides comprehensive support services for new arrivals navigating resettlement.
Our Mission: Advocating for Migrants and Preventing Inequality
At New Arrivals Support, our core mission is to prevent inequality and poverty among migrants, ensuring that every newcomer has equal opportunities to thrive. We focus on advocacy, bilingual casework, and migrant-led initiatives to create sustainable pathways toward integration and financial independence.
Our work is rooted in lived experience, making us a grassroots organization that understands the challenges of resettlement firsthand. We provide practical support and empower migrants with knowledge, resources, and a strong sense of community.
Our Key Services and Support Projects
At NASCIC, we offer a wide range of services to help new arrivals access education, housing, employment, healthcare, and welfare support. Through our specialised projects, we provide targeted assistance to Ukrainian refugees and other migrant communities:
✅ Ukrainian Support Greenwich (USG)
A bilingual casework service helping Ukrainians navigate resettlement, welfare support, and housing assistance.
✅ Maliatko Project
A support program designed for Ukrainian families with young children, offering early years education, community-building activities, and parenting workshops.
✅ Ukrainian Youth Project Lewisham
A safe space for young Ukrainian migrants to engage in educational, cultural, and leadership development opportunities.
✅ 50+ Project Lewisham
A dedicated support program for older Ukrainian migrants, providing social activities, well-being services, and workshops to combat isolation and promote community integration.
✅ Community Events, Training & Workshops
At New Arrivals Support, we actively organize community events, training sessions, and advocacy workshops to promote migrant voices, cultural understanding, and social inclusion.
Why Our Work Matters
New arrivals face significant barriers when settling in a new country. Many struggle with language barriers, financial difficulties, and a lack of access to essential services. At NASCIC, we bridge this gap by offering bilingual casework, advocacy, and tailored support, ensuring that migrants and refugees can navigate their new environment with confidence.
We also amplify migrant voices, working with policymakers and local authorities to create fairer systems for integration. Our commitment to diversity, equality, and human rights drives every initiative we undertake.
